MOLDED COOKIE SEMINAR Basic Springerle, Molded Gingerbread and Frankfurter Brenton and Speculaas
9:30am to 3:00 at House on the Hill

Learn the Peculiarities and methods for making beautiful Springerle cookies form the Bavarian Alps. You will sample two flavors, traditional anise and lemon. Gingerbread cookies are a fragrant seasonal favorite and even more beautiful when molded into holiday relief. Frankfurter Brenton Cookies are delicious almond confections. They are sweeter than most molded cookies and will be a fun addition to your cookie recipe collection.

COOKING AT THE COTTAGE Louisville, KY Saturday All Day Cookie Seminar 9:00am until 3:00pm “Springerle & Molded Cookie Workshop” ● 6 Hour Hands On Workshop ● Connie Meisinger – House on the Hill Cookie Molds ● $115.00 For cookies too pretty to eat, learn techniques to properly make traditional European artisan cookies using both single and multiple image presses as well as rolling pins. In this hands on class, you will produce your own Springerle, molded gingerbread, Speculaas (think Windmill cookies) and luscious almond Frankfurter Brenton cookies. Learn Paper Casting ~ learn to make a cotton paper casting and take home a glittered Snowman Greeting Card. You will also see the different things you can make using paper castings such as gift tags and pictures ● Paper Clay Casting ~ learn the process for casting clay in a cookie mold and take home a glazed ornament of a Partridge in a Pear Tree. ● Holiday Cupcake ~ learn to cast fondant and make an embellished cupcake topper with painted Red & Green Bells You will also view the process for more detailed painting.

All classes are taught by Connie Meisinger. Class attendants at our in house location in Elmhurst, IL will receive a 20% discount on purchases made within 1 week of class. Classes will be cancelled if there are less than 6 students.
