Description
Probably ca. 1500 - 1550; about 1500, lute music changed from single note tunes plucked with one finger to polyphonic melodies requiring use of two fingers, as is the case in this astonishingly beautiful mold with fine, crisp, deep detail. Small harps were typical of traveling medieval musicians. A dog laps at the foutain overflow.
